CENTRE OF SYSTEMATIC MEDICINE. OUR APPROACH TO HEALING

(For anyone)

Mena sana in corpore sana

Healthy mind in a healthy body

Juvenal

The centre for systematic medicine is not a specialised institution meant for healing separate illnesses. We believe that there are also systematic diseases of the organism as such beside all the illnesses of separate organs which are primarily treated by the traditional western medicine. Illnesses of the whole organism, not yet researched enough, can result in consequences which show up as disturbances in the normal performance of separate organs or physiological systems. At the same time physicians often come into situations where traditional only-separate-organs healing (or, to put it differently, symptomatic healing) doesn't lead to the desired results. We believe that the reason for this is people looking for simple reasons for the diseases and at the same time forgetting about the entire system which generates the separate diseases. Experience of the best doctors, old and contemporary ones, show that correct treatment should not only include separate ill organs but at the same time improve the condition of the entire organism. In this case the disturbances and malfunctions of the organism gradually disappear unless they had developed to the stage where they cannot be corrected and healed anymore. Unfortunately, doctors too often forget this approach in their practice, which most probably refers to the policies of their professional training.

We don't do healing in its traditional scope, we offer knowledge of optimally-constructed healing. The difference between our special methods and the traditional methods bases on the non-traditional idea what health and illness actually are. At the same time we also strive to make use of all achievements of the modern science. On the basis of our approaches the professional experts develop a special healing plan for each separate patient.

HOLISTIC MEDICINE: A SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO HEALING

(For doctors and for everybody interested in it)

The new has already forgotten the old

A popular quotation

The holistic approach does not contradict the data of natural science and bases on common laws being researched by natural scientists. Some problems are described in scientific works in the fields of physiology, biophysics, developmental biology, as well as developmental ecology which actually is a holistic science branch. We don't only discuss the homeostasis and the common laws and principles of the operation of biological systems but also the problems of astro-biology and the global evolution (http://www.evol.nw.ru/labs/lab38/levchenko/articles). Research within the frame of the holistic approach aid to better understanding of the difference between the adjustment reactions of the organism and the illnesses themselves. Such research also stimulates the understanding of the role of the physiological motivation mechanisms during mental activities. Furthermore, they enable us to explain the reasons for chronic diseases to appear and they have stimulated the healing method in some special cases (including the initial phases of oncological illnesses), where traditional methods had given no improvement or result.

The idea of controlling treatment until the balance of homeostasis is achieved is the core of our unique method. With this we consider a state of the organism in a phase what can be maintained for an undefined period of time only with the help of natural physiological mechanisms, with no medicine or other artificial means. The necessary corrections to the state of the organism during the treatment are performed by doctors-experts, whereas they use data acquired from observing and following the physiological characteristics of the organism.

WHO IS THE CENTRE MEANT FOR?

(For anyone)

Our centre is not only a medical office. It is dedicated to expanding knowledge in the field of holistic medicine. We hope that this knowledge will improve the diagnostics and the healing of systematic illnesses. Within the frame of our approach the descriptions of the human organism and the concepts of what health and illness are, are explained from more general positions than the common practice nowadays shows them. We do not deny or contradict the existing medical science, but we believe that it is only one of individual approaches to healing, where the organism is not always treated as an integrity.

Patients are not being banned from anything. We believe that knowing the cause and the effect of the illness can stimulate the patient to organise his/her life properly. It can also lead to understanding the contemporary and common mistakes about the so-called »healthy living«.

Welcome in our centre are:

- People with serious health problems

- People without health problems, so that they can learn how to avoid them

- People with strong physical or psychical burdens, such as sportspeople, managers etc. They have a chance to improve in their professional lives and to reduce the influence of the harmful factors

Kindly welcome are also physicians and pharmacists, so they can learn the main theses of the holistic biology and medicine; these topics are not appropriately dealt with during studies and practical work. We presume that all one can get from our Centre will contribute to a higher professional level, to creating a more appropriate healing system and to reducing the amount of medical mistakes that occur. Of course the interaction with various professionals will also improve the knowledge of the doctors educated and trained in our Centre.

Our approach should also stimulate the development and production of new and unique pharmaceutical products of a wide spectre, which would not only heal separate organs but also improve the general and the immunological patients' conditions.

PHILOSOPHY

Wilful control of life energies gives power

Lao Tzu

The expression »holistic« (originating from Greek holos – integral, look under http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holism is used in medicine to describe a special healing approach where necessarily the bodily, the mental and the social factors which influence the patient are considered. From this point of view correcting the various internal and external factors of illness permanently during the treatment is just as important as the correct diagnostics and correct use of medicines. Sometimes the term is used for the so-called »unconventional medicine«, but we still try to remain within the frame of natural sciences. We believe that returning to the »balanced integrity« hastens the renewal of physiological functions and the recovery of the organs. In a healthy body the mind and the organs are healthy, and on the contrary the unhealthy entirety cannot assure the normal existence of its parts and thus suppresses the natural existence harmony. Such a systematic and integral approach brings us close to some branches of the Eastern medicine practice. They base on the same general principles and philosophical ideas nowadays discussed in ecology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_ecology). A tree cannot be healthy if there is no dense and healthy forest around, and the forest will not prosper if the trees in its midst are weakening… In Ancient Greece the idea of holistic medicine was systematised by the pioneer doctor, Hippocrates (approx. 460 – 377 B.C.). In the modern medicine, nevertheless the Galen's (approx. 129 – 199 A.D.) approach prevailed. According to his theory any body pathology is the consequence of separate organs. The human is part of the living Earth, so he cannot be happy and healthy tearing the invisible bonds with Mother Nature. This philosophy drove us to build the Centre among the hills and forests. We believe that even passive observing of the nature, perceiving the grass and flowers' scents can support and accelerate the healing processes.

Great emphasis is laid on healthy life-style and proper nutrition. We also lean to Rudolf Steiner's (1861 – 1925) anthroposophical ideas in the European culture. His well-known project of magnificent centres called "Goetheanums" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goetheanum) is still alive. Some centres of such type are present in Sweden and in the USA. They have also influenced our views and practice.
